about

In the tradition of the acoustic, comic duo, we bring you Gonken “Live From Steve’s Mom’s House.” Dubbed as an electro-punk geek, Gonken has never shied away from exploring various musical genres including industrial, noise, punk, hip-hop and electronic music—all peppered with his unique blend of humor and lyrical eccentricities.

However, how his music would sound acoustically has remained unheard, until now. Although during 2004-05 Gonken’s live show often included a few acoustic numbers that received positive fanfare, it wasn’t until late 2009 (after two humorous unplugged shows on Seattle’s Hollow Earth Radio) that the audacious audiologist decided to team up with BK5000 in order to discover how his electro-punk songs would translate to just two acoustic guitars and a microphone.

Both musicians were pleasantly surprised by the result. We hope you are too…
